Mitt Romney visits the Quad Cities

A week after President Barack Obama visits the Quad Cities, his challenger makes a campaign stop in Bettendorf.

Republican Mitt Romney spoke to about a thousand people on the factory floor at LeClaire Manufacturing Wednesday afternoon.

At least one man had to be escorted out after interrupting Romney's speech.

Romney denounced president Obama's record on debt reduction and job creation.

He also responded to president obama's education focus and his claims that romney's tax cut proposals will cut resources for education.

"If you want to invest in young people, let me tell you what you need to do Mr. President, you need to make sure that our K through 12 schools are getting better, alright, that's number one," Romney said. "Not just talk, but actually getting better. Number two, you have got to make sure that we create jobs in this country so that people coming out of school can get a good job."

Romney's next public campaign appearance is in New Mexico Thursday, before he joins up with Runningmate Paul Ryan at a joint rally Friday in Michigan.
