Black Hawks lose second game at World Junior Cup

After winning their opening game in impressive fashion on Sunday, the Waterloo Black Hawks dropped their second game in the Junior World Cup hockey tournament Monday in Russia.

The Black Hawks beat HC Energie of the Czech Republic 5-0 in their opening game with goalie Eamon McAdam making 27 saves.

On Monday,  Dynamo Shinnick of Belarus scored two early goals and staved off a Waterloo rally, beating the Black Hawks 3-1.

Justin Kloos scored a goal for the Black Hawks to make it a 2-1 game in the second period. And Waterloo appeared to score again on a power play early in the second period, but it was declared a no goal as the Black Hawks fall to 1-1 for the tournament.

Waterloo plays Norway on Wednesday.
