Bridge inspections in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Today the city of Cedar Rapids began inspecting different bridges in the city.  Traffic was reduced to one lane on the 16th Avenue, 2nd Avenue and the 3rd Avenue bridges.

Inspections are scheduled through out the week.  Here is a list of bridges that will be effected. 

Tuesday, August 21:

  • 2nd Avenue East Lane 7 - 8am
  • 3rd Avenue East Lane 8 - 9am
  • 8th Avenue West Lane 9 - 11pm
  • 12th Avenue West Lane 12 - 2pm
  • 8th Avenue East Lane 2- 3:30pm
  • 12th Avenue East Lane 3:30 - 5pm

Wednesday, August 22:

  • Edgewood Road East Lane 7am - 5pm

Thursday, August 23:

  • Edgewood Road West Lane 7am - 5pm

Friday, August 24:

  • 5-in-1 Structure Northbound 7- 9:30 am
  • 5-in-1 Structure Southbound 9:30 am - 12pm
