Top ranked Clarksville handles Midland in season opener

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

In an 8-Man season opener at the UNI-Dome, top ranked Clarksville beat Midland 53-22.  Indian star quarterback Dalton Ciavarelli accounted for 6 of Clarksville's 7 touchdowns. The Indians jumped to a 24-0 lead before Midland would score on a Ryan Leonard 7 yard touchdown run to make it 24-8 in the second quarter. Ciavarelli tossed a 65 yard touchdown pass to Collin Jacobs with less than a minute to play in the half.  And in the third quarter Ciavarelli scored on runs of 30 and 37 yards to put the game out of reach.
