GLADBROOK (KWWL) -
The Denver football team's jumped out to an early 1-0 start with a 27-7 victory at Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Friday night.
The Cyclones fell behind in the early going as G-R jumped out to the 7-0 advantage on a 16 yard connection between Trevor Trunck and freshman Colton Dinsdale.
Denver struck back in the second quarter. Brayden Neuendorf found Chase Shedenhelm up the middle on a 18 yard play to the 4 yardline. That would set up Neuendorf as he scored on the keeper to for the 7-7 tie.
Later in the quarter, Neuendorf hit another big pass play, a 56 yarder to Caleb Millius down to the 4 setting up another score. The Cyclones would never look back as they outscored G-R 13-0 in the second half for the victory.
