Diamond Jo parent company facing labor violations

The company which operates Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque is facing violations in wage and child labor law.

Peninsula Gaming LLC has been fined $9,300.

The U.S. Labor Department says it found teenagers at Diamond Jo operating trash compactors in violation of federal safety provisions.

A spokesman for Peninsula says the company disputed some of the allegations and has taken other steps to eliminate the violations.
