CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

With President Obama staying at the Cedar Rapids Marriott, guests had to go through tight security on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Heavy equipment and a wood fence lined the perimeter of the Cedar Rapids Marriott on Collins Road for President Obama's overnight stay during his three-day tour of Iowa.

Every visitor and guest of the hotel had to go through a white tent where their vehicle was checked over by security personnel and dogs.

President Obama stayed in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday night after speaking in Waterloo and before heading to Dubuque.
