Semi rolls over in I-80 construction zone near Iowa City

The Iowa State Patrol says a semi rolled over in a construction zone on I-80 near Iowa City on Tuesday evening.

The Iowa State Patrol says a semi driven by 28-year-old Christopher Willenborg of La Vista, Nebraska rolled over after hitting several construction signs, barrels and a cement barrier just before 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Troopers say Willenborg failed to negotiate the merge left for the construction zone at mile marker 248.

No tickets have been issued in the accident.
