Romney's VP pick makes first Iowa solo stop

As President Obama travels across Iowa, his opponents also making their presence felt in Iowa.

Rep. Paul Ryan made his first solo stop in the state since he was named Mitt Romney's running mate during the weekend.  Congressman Ryan visited the Des Moines Register's "soapbox" at the Iowa State Fair.

"As you see the President come through on his bus tour, you might ask him the same question that I'm getting asked from people all around America, and that is where are the jobs Mr. President?"

Ryan's appearance didn't come without a few hecklers.

Protesters did their best to interrupt the Republican vice presidential candidate.

An Iowa state trooper had to remove two women from the crowd.

Ryan said, "It's funny because Iowans and Wisconsinites like to be respectful of one another and peaceful with each other. These women must not be from Iowa or Wisconsin."
