Pink fire trucks coming to Cedar Rapids

Pink fire trucks will be coming to Cedar Rapids as the "Pink Heals Tour" makes its way into town Monday morning. 

The tour travels the country each year to increase awareness and provide support for women battling cancer.

The event is hosted by the Cedar Rapids Fire Department and Mercy Medical Center's Hall-Perrine Cancer Center.

There will be pink fire trucks at the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center on 10th street beginning at 11 a.m. Monday morning.

The group will also deliver bouquets of pink roses to two cancer survivors.

In addition, volunteers will be selling books, T-shirts, and allowing cancer survivors, current patients and families of cancer victims to sign the pink fire truck.
