Woman killed crossing Highway 20 in Galena

GALENA, Ill. (KWWL) -

A woman has died after being hit by a passing vehicle in Galena, Illinois.

The Galena Police Department says the woman was hit just before 9 p.m. Saturday along Highway 20 near Industrial Park Dr.

They say the woman was crossing the highway at the time and was hit by an eastbound vehicle.

No names have been released.

It's not clear if any charges will be filed against the driver.
