Two eastern Iowans are recovering after a motorcycle crash this week in South Dakota during the Sturgis Rally.

A Rapid City TV station is reporting four people were sent to the hospital after three motorcycles collided with a Jeep Cherokee on Highway 16 Monday afternoon.

40-year-old Scottie McDermott from Waterloo was one of the riders.

His wife says he's still recovering at a Rapid City hospital, and though he's going to be okay, she says he'll need second motorcycle rider involved in the crash is Ryan Wolfensberger from Denver, Iowa.

He's still in the same hospital but is recovering.

A passenger on Wolfensberger's motorcycle is okay and was released Monday after suffering a concussion in the crash.

A third motorcycle rider from Minnesota has also been released.
