Iowa lawyers generally support judges and justices

Iowa lawyers believe all 75 judges and justices up for a retention vote this year should stay in office.

A new report by the Iowa State Bar Association shows an of average of 90 percent support the judges and justices.

However, Iowa supreme court justice David Wiggins scored the second-lowest approval rating on the survey.

An official acknowledged the court's 2009 decision to allow same-sex marriage may have played a role in the response.
