Cedar Falls Lutheran school grows from two school closings

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

An ending for two schools in the Cedar Valley is helping another school get off to a good start this year.

The old Immanuel Lutheran school is in pieces this August and this means a new beginning for the students who attended Immanuel.

Valley Lutheran in Cedar Falls is expanding its programs this year to take in students from Immanuel and Malcolm Price Laboratory.

Valley Lutheran has fixed up five new classrooms in its school and has expanded from seven grades to a full K-12 program.

Classes start one week from Thursday.

As for the old Immanuel Lutheran property, CVS Pharmacy bought the land and will build a new store in that same spot.
