Cedar Valley comic book store holds raffle for victims of the Colorado shooting

One Cedar Valley comic book store is looking to help the victims and families of the Colorado shooting.

Limited Edition in Cedar Falls is holding a "Dark Knight Rises" charity raffle. The money will go to the victims of the shooting at the movie theater in Aurora. Robert Rodgers, the owner of Limited Edition, said it was an idea that has grown over the past weeks. At first Rodgers was going to raffle off just a Batman statue. But since starting the raffle, people have donated other items like signed comic books.

"It was our people, our kind of people were there that night. Comic collectors, Batman enthusiasts, movie enthusiasts all the stuff we have centered our whole lived around they were all there that night. And that tragedy really hit close to home," said Robert Rodgers of Limited Edition.

You can buy a raffle ticket at Limited Edition on College Hill in Cedar Falls. The tickets are $1 each. Rodgers says he hopes to raise $1,500.
