Tri-states hospital on lockdown

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (KWWL) -

A hospital in the tri-states was on lockdown yesterday.

The Director of Communications at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, Wisconsin told our partners at the Telegraph Herald the hospital went into lockdown because of a possible security threat.

By Tuesday evening, the lockdown was lifted but it remained in heightened-security mode.

Hospital officials aren't saying what caused the lockdown or the heightened security measures.

Some residents of southeast Waverly are a little nervous, as the waters of the Cedar River move toward a crest in the next 24 hours.
The City of Waverly says the river is receding and previousily closed roads are starting to open.
