Grower recalls grape tomatoes over salmonella concerns

An Iowa produce grower is recalling grape tomatoes in three states because they may contain salmonella.

The recall from Menno Beach of Cresco includes one pint containers labeled Menno Beachy Certified Organic Grape Tomatoes. The produce was distributed to stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan between July 26 and August 6, 2012.

The tomatoes have a UPC number of 044419310176. Case lots include MB725GT3, MB725GT8, and MB725GT0. 

No illnesses have been reported. A sample collected at a Minnesota distributor by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture was found to be contaminated.

Customers should throw away the tomatoes or return them to the store.
