Body found in Marshall Co. is missing hunter

Authorities in Marshall Co. are investigating the death of a raccoon hunter who went missing during a competition.

The Marshall Co. Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Preston Luft of Carroll disappeared during a raccoon hunting competition when he went to retrieve his dog that had wandered away.

Searchers spent about 12 hours looking for the man.

They found Luft's body around 2 a.m. in a densely wooded area near the Iowa River.

There's no word yet on how Luft died.
