WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Saturday's storms couldn't wash out a sea of green in downtown Waterloo. The sixth annual Irish Fest is happening right now in Lincoln Park.

The event features traditional and contemporary Irish music, along with food, gifts, and beer. While the festival is all about having fun, many people also enjoy getting in touch with their Irish heritage.

"I really enjoy the history and the past of it. Really learning about where I come from and the entire -- where my ancestors come from. How I am who I am," said 18-year-old Ethan Fields.

The festival continues until midnight Saturday and starts up again Sunday morning. Admission costs $10 for the day, or $15 for a weekend pass.
