UPDATE: Names released in Waterloo shooting; 3 injured

Three people were injured after a shooting early Friday afternoon; two others were arrested.

Waterloo Police and Fire Rescue responded to the 300 block of Allen Street. Officers found two victims on scene who were treated and taken to a local hospital. A third victim arrived at a hospital later. He was reportedly taken there by friends or family.

Police say Malik Calhoun, 17, Lakeem Calhoun, 19, and Dashawn Marks, 19, were all injured from a gunshot blast. Their injuries are not life threatening.

Police also located a vehicle on Sunnyside Avenue believed to have been used by the shooters. The house near the vehicle was also searched.

Jared Brooks, 18, and Anthony Jacobs, 18, were both arrested and face one count of intimidation with a dangerous weapon. Brooks also faces three counts of wilful injury, one count of going armed with intent, and one count of carrying weapons. Jacobs also faces one count of possession of marijuana.

The case is under investigation.
