A crashed plane still at Elkader airport two weeks later

ELKADER (KWWL) -

A plane that crashed at the Elkader Municipal Airport has still not been moved from where it landed more than two weeks ago.

Our partners at the Telegraph Herald report the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are still investigating the accident and that the plane has not yet been pulled out of the crash area.

They might have to disassemble it to get it out of the area.

58-year-old Arthur Beaupre was the pilot in that plane.

Beaupre and his passenger 54-year-old Thora Fisko were both injured in the crash and airlifted to the hospital.

Their injuries appeared to be a broken ankle and a dislocated shoulder.
