CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -
Federal investigators continue to look into financial fraud at PFGBest in Cedar Falls.
On Tuesday there was a job fair for former employees. 15 area employers took part in the event, held in the Cedar Falls Industrial Park.
Of the 207 people who lost their jobs at Wasendorf properties, 150 of them were maintenance workers, food service employees, and childcare providers. Those workers were the focus of Tuesday's job fair.
"A couple of dozen people have already found new homes either here in the Cedar Valley and unfortunately we lost a few to other communities that have a high demand for their skill sets," said Brittany Jungck of the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance and Chamber.
Employees asked not to go on camera, but say they were very hurt by the sudden closing of Wasendorf's properties. They hope to find more stable employment in the future.
