Waterloo gymnasts tune into the Olympics

The Olympics is a chance for some area athletes to see how the pros do it.

Gymnasts at Cedar Valley Gymnastics Academy in Waterloo are watching the Olympics while they train. On the jumbo tron, the kids watch some of their idols.

Matt Reints, the boys head coach, says it takes a lot of work to perform at that level and it's inspiring to see.

"Great opportunity to what their future could withhold or a good goal for them to set even at a young age. You always want to see people striving to be better," said Reints.
