Des Moines resident Gabby Douglas is moving on to the all-around competition after a solid opening night in women's gymnastics competition.

Douglas was the second highest scorer on team USA behind Aly Raisman.  The 2 top athletes qualify for the all-around.  Defending world champion Jordyn Wieber finished third falling short of the cut.

Team USA finished night one with a heavy lead that they'll take into the team finals on Tuesday.
