Beckman holds off North Polk for 2A baseball title

DES MOINES (KWWL) -

Senior Robbie Anstoetter went 4 for 4 on the day as Dyersville Beckman held off North Polk in class 2A to win the 4th state title in school history.

Trailing 1-0, the Blazers got everything they needed in the second inning.  Mike Boeckenstedt opened the scoring with an RBI single up the middle.  That set up Anstoetter as he drilled a shot down the left field line.  The double plated a pair of runs as Beckman took a 3-1 advantage that would hold up to the end.

Beckman's 3 runs in the second were the only earned runs allowed by North Polk's Jacob Haddaway who had entered the game with a 0.00 ERA.
