Severe weather moves through Eastern Iowa

A round of storms passed through Eastern Iowa Thursday night bringing strong wind and some much needed rain. 

we've received multiple reports at KWWL of power lines and trees down in Clayton County, and trees down in Nashua. 

As of 12:30 a.m. Thursday, The MidAmerican Energy site is reporting there are more than 500 people without power in Nashua. A MidAmerican Energy spokesperson was not able to confirm whether the outages were a direct result from Wednesday night's storms. 

In addition, the MidAmerican Energy site is also reporting outages in the Waterloo area. 

As of 7:30 a.m. Thursday, MidAmerican Energy's web site reports nearly everyone affected in the Black Hawk County area have had their power returned.
