Former Hawk Reiff signs with NFL Lions

Former Iowa Hawkeye and Detroit Lion offensive tackle and first-round draft pick Riley Reiff has agreed to terms on a four-year rookie contract and will be present when the team's rookies report for training camp Monday, a team source confirmed to NFL.com and NFL Network reporter Albert Breer.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but Reiff's contract has an expected value of around $8 million with around $6.5 million in guaranteed money, including full base salary guarantees in the first three seasons.

Reiff was a three-year starter at the University of Iowa, with most of his starts coming at left tackle. The 6-foot-6, 313-pound Reiff has prototypical left-tackle size and is expected to be the eventual long-term replacement for 34-year-old Jeff Backus.
