Sumner-Fredericksburg loses heartbreaker in State Softball Semifinals

FORT DODGE (KWWL) -

Sumner-Fredericksburg rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take its semifinal round game with Treynor to extra innings only to fall in the 9th inning, 3-2.

The Cougars scored 2 runs in the top of the first to keep their title hopes alive only to lose the game on a wild pitch in the 9th. Sumner-Fredericksburg will play Durant on Friday for third.
