Video shows Iowa State Penitentiary worker kicking inmate

FORT MADISON (KWWL) -

A state corrections worker shown in a prison video kicking an inmate says he's contesting his firing for using excessive force.

The video was obtained by the Des Moines Register, and shows former worker Michael Scott taking an inmate to his cell in the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison. The footage show the jailer kicking the prisoner.

The video is from November 2011, Scott was later fired in December.
