15 injured after semi and van collide on Highway 151

JONES COUNTY (KWWL) -

Fifteen people, 13 of which are children, were injured after a semi and van collided in Jones County Wednesday evening.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. on Highway 151, east of Highway 1.

Authorities say one person was airlifted; 13 others were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Two people riding in the semi declined treatment.

The Jones County Sheriff says the driver of the van, 32-year-old Brandon Wethington of Anamosa, was making a right hand turn when the semi rear-ended the van.

The crash is still under investigation.
