BRITT (KWWL) -

A north Iowa crop duster pilot has died after his plane crashed on Tuesday.

Crews were called to a cornfield near Britt around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon. A witness says the plane may have hit a power line or pole before crashing.

The pilot, John Larson of Buffalo Center, was able to get out of the plane and was found about 100 yards away. He was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City where he later died.
