Freezing sweet corn to enjoy great tasting Iowa corn all year is simple and can be done if four easy steps.
1. Blanch corn. Bring one gallon of water to a boil. Add 11 ears of corn into a white pillow case* (or basket) and add to boiling water for seven minutes. Remove immediately and transfer to a sink filled with ice water.

2. Drain and cut kernels off the cob.
3. Make a brine using 1 teaspoon of salt for every 1 quart of water
4. Pack corn into plastic freezer bags, leaving 1 inch head space. Add enough brine to cover and squeeze the air out
a. Use the amount of corn you need for one meal
. Place plastic bags in a cake pan and fill the bags. Place entire cake pan in the freezer so the bags freeze evenly and with uniform shape.
Freeze and enjoy for up to one year.
