Shellsburg man accused of shocking teenage girl with cattle prod

A Shellsburg man is accused of shocking a teenage girl with a cattle prod.

Eric Kolsrud, 50, was arrested by the Benton County Sheriff on Friday and charged with assault causing bodily injury and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Kolsrud used a cattle prod to shock a 16-year-old girl repeatedly following an argument between the two of them. Kolsrud is also accused of telling a 15-year-old girl living in his house to lie to law enforcement about the incident.
