Waterloo police investigate series of business break-ins

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Waterloo police are investigating a series of break-ins at businesses in the city.

The most recent happened this week at the Locker Room Lounge on Hawthorne Avenue on Thursday morning, and Packers Inn on Rath Street early Wednesday.

Police have also received reports of break-ins at Buzz's Bar on Maynard Avenue, and Maid Pro just off Ansborough Avenue the last week of June.

At Packers Inn, police say four people came in through the back door, and caused about $3,000 damage to TVs and video machines. Suspects also took $500 worth of alcohol.

Police say they can't be sure the crimes are connected, but say it is possible.
