Car flipped upside down; Only minor injuries

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

A gruesome-looking car accident slowed eastbound traffic Wednesday evening in Dubuque.

It happened at the intersection of Highway 20 and Crescent Ridge Road by Lowe's.

Despite a grizzly scene with one car flipped upside down, nobody was seriously injured. The driver of the flipped car was walking at the scene but went to the hospital.

The driver and two passengers of the other car sustained only minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital.

Some residents of southeast Waverly are a little nervous, as the waters of the Cedar River move toward a crest in the next 24 hours.
The City of Waverly says the river is receding and previousily closed roads are starting to open.
