Oran man facing sex abuse charges following investigation - KWWL

An Oran man faces multiple sex abuse charges following an investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies executed a search warrant at the home of 75-year-old Benton J. Stong on Tuesday after an investigation into the possible sexual exploitation of a minor.

After a five-hour search, deputies say they seized computers, video equipment, photographs, videos and software.

Authorities say that four minors under the age of 12 have been identified as victims.  They believe that more victims could be found after examination of the evidence that was collected.

Stong is charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and three counts of sexual abuse in the second degree.  Stong could face up to 115 years in prison if convicted on these charges alone.  More charges could be filed.

The Department of Human Services is working with all identified victims and their families.

Stong is currently being held at the Fayette County Jail.
