WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Police credit a tip to the Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers hotline for the arrest of two men at a local hotel.  The two arrests are the first that are a direct result of the new Crime Stoppers organization.

Sergeant Hector Camarin says a tip led police to two men who were wanted on warrants that were staying at the Super 8 Hotel on LaPorte Road on Tuesday.

Camarin says officers went to the hotel and found 26-year-old Gabrielle McClarin and 31-year-old Roy Lee Turner III staying at the hotel and arrested them.

McClarin was wanted on a theft warrant out of Linn County and Turner was wanted on a U.S. Marshals warrant for Mail Fraud.

Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward for information that helps solve crimes in Black Hawk County.
