UPDATE: One person pronounced dead after Hwy 151 crash

ANAMOSA (KWWL) -

One person has died after an accident in Jones County Monday.

Highway 151 Northbound was blocked off for several hours after the crash happened around 3:00 p.m.

The Iowa State Patrol says that a car traveling south when the driver lost control. The car crossed the median and was struck by a semi.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi-driver, Alan Tapke, 52, was taken to the Jones Regional Medical Center.
