Virus infects thousands of computers

Posted:

Hundreds of thousands of Internet users may have had trouble connecting Monday. It's because their computers were infected with a virus.

Last year, the FBI arrested people who they say are responsible for malware called DNS Charger.

For the past year, the FBI set up temporary servers giving Internet users time to get their computers checked out. Monday the FBI turned off those servers. The FBI estimates show nearly 211,000 computers still had the virus.
