Minnesota woman injured in Black Hawk County motorcycle crash

A Minnesota woman was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident on Highway 218 in Black Hawk County on Sunday.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says that 44-year-old Tracey Lynne Armstrong, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, was headed north on Hwy. 218 near Mt. Vernon Road at around 1:40 p.m. on Sunday when she lost control.

Deputies say Armstrong laid the motorcycle down and slid a short distance on the roadway.

Armstrong was taken to Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.  Her injuries are considered not life threatening.

The accident remains under investigation.
