Teen injured in dirt bike crash

BREMER COUNTY (KWWL) -

A 15-year old boy was seriously injured Sunday after his dirt bike crashed.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. north of Waverly off 195th street.

The Bremer Co. Sheriff's office says the teenager lost control of the bike and crashed - leaving him unconscious.

He was then airlifted to a Waterloo hospital.

Deputies aren't releasing his name or condition but say the boy is from Harlan.

Some residents of southeast Waverly are a little nervous, as the waters of the Cedar River move toward a crest in the next 24 hours.
The City of Waverly says the river is receding and previousily closed roads are starting to open.
