DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 1:45 a.m. Sunday in downtown Dubuque.

According to police, 34-year-old Chad Ronald Hansen was walking in the area of 11th and Jackson streets, when two men approached him from behind and started robbing him. That's when one of the men shot him in the side, police say.

Hansen was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, treated and released.

Police say this is not the first incident of this kind in Dubuque, where two suspects approach a victim from behind and rob him.

Police are still searching for the two suspects.
