Gilbertville man arrested for burglary

GILBERTVILLE (KWWL) -

A 61-year-old Gilbertville man faces burglary charges after deputies say he stole a briefcase from someone's home Saturday afternoon. Deputies say around 3:45 p.m., Dale Hemmer went into a Gilbertville man's home, assaulted him, then left with a briefcase with documents inside. Deputies say they found Hemmer near the home, arrested him, and took him to the Black Hawk County Jail.
