Ankeny man charged in crash that killed two asks for trial delay

ANKENY (KWWL) -

A man charged in a crash that killed two Iowa children is again asking for a trial delay.

Kevin Dalasta is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and serious injury by vehicle. The charges stem from a May 2010 crash that killed 5 year old Carsen Dejoode and his five month old sister Clair. It also injured their mother and 3 year old brother.

Delasta's attorney is no requiting a new trial date. If approved, it will be the fifth time the trial has been delayed.
