WASHINGTON, D.C. (KWWL) -
New applications for unemployment aid dropped last week making it the lowest level since mid-May.
According to the U.S. Labor Department, requests for benefits dropped by 14,000 applications for a total of 374, 000. This follows a steady decline since the week of May 19th.
Analysts use information like this to determine overall job growth and economic recovery.
Wtih a dip in new applications, experts suggest it means hiring is improving and fewer people need aid.
