Help cool the Cedar Falls pool!

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

A pool is a great place to beat the heat.  But with the stretch of hot days we're having, water at the Falls Aquatic Center in Cedar Falls isn't too cool right now.

Water temperatures have been reading into the mid-80s.  So the next two days, the Falls is giving you an incentive to help keep the pool a cool, refreshing place to be.

"We decided to run a promotion where if you bring in a bag of ice on Thursday or Friday after 5:30 p.m., a 20 pound bag of ice or larger per person, you will get in for free," said Sarah Schwendinger with the Falls Aquatic Center.

All the ice collected will be dumped into the pool water to help lower its temperature.
