Iowa Lottery officials set to make Quaker plant winners public

DES MOINES (KWWL) -

Iowa Lottery officials should know by Friday whether they can release the names of the "Shipping 20" to the public.

Iowa's newest millionaires, the group of 20 Quaker Oats plant workers in Cedar Rapids, wanted to keep their names from the public after their $241 million Powerball jackpot win. The Iowa Lottery said they believed the names should be released, but would give the group 10 business days to file an injunction.

The Iowa Lottery says it has not indication if there will be court action taken by Friday. If there is no petition for an injunction filed by Friday, the Iowa Lottery says it will release the names of the winners.
