Linn County testing outdoor sirens on Wednesday

Because of the large number of visitors to the Linn County area on July 4, the Linn County Emergency Management Agency is confirming that the outdoor warning sirens will be tested as scheduled on Wednesday.

The 145 sirens which are part of the radiological emergency response plan in Linn and Benton Counties will be tested at 8:45 a.m.

Siren testing happens on the first Wednesday of the each month unless threatening weather is possible.

This month's test will be initiated by the Benton County Emergency Management Agency.
