A man from Fairfax faces assault charges, accused of biting an employee at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

According to a criminal complaint, 28-year-old Joshua Lawson was being treated at the hospital Friday when he started threatening staff, saying he would come back with a gun and shoot them.

The complaint says Lawson spit in the face of a nurse, and also bit the hand of a doctor, leaving teeth marks.
