Former Dubuque County Sheriff Sergeant guilty of stalking

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

A former Dubuque County Sheriff Sergeant faces up to two years in prison after a jury found him guilty of stalking.

The ruling came Friday morning.

James Doyle was accused of making a series of threats toward Randy Hansen--who had been dating Doyle's ex-wife during the fall of 2010.

According to our partners at the Telegraph Herald, Doyle was found guilty of stalking but the jury did not find him guilty for other accusations such as breaking into Hansen's garage.

He was found not guilty of burglary.
